Testimonials

See what other travellers have to say about their stay in the Orchid Suite.

The Ashcroft House is on a quiet street and very close to the coastline and downtown Victoria. We had the Orchid Suite which was incredibly spacious and well appointed. Paulanne was a wonderful host and prepared a gourmet breakfast every morning. We were able to walk to the Royal British Columbia Museum and the wharf, and we were also across the street from Beacon Hill Park. All and all we had a wonderful stay.

This beautiful old house is outside central Victoria but practically right on the beach. One minute's walk gets you to the beach and the path along it, popular with dogwalkers and joggers both. Ten minutes gets you through the park to Cook St, with a nice spread of restaurants and other local offerings. Twenty minutes and you're standing in downtown Victoria by the Empress and and the Parliament. We were in the Orchid Suite: a comfortable bed in a comfortable bedroom, a spacious bathroom with a nice shower and a tub big enough for two, and a kitchenette with an electric kettle, a fridge, and a hot plate.
